How do you calculate when you should start your period one month to the next?

It's said to be a 28 day cycle. Mark the first day of your period on a calander in one colour count out 28 days forward and mark it with another colour. You will be due 'around' this date. When the next period comes mark the day with the first colour. You should find that your period comes around the same day each month. You'll very quickly learn exactly when your due, unless your periods are irregular. Cycles vary from woman to woman. For most its a 28 day cycle but can range upto 35 days. But just do what the above answer has suggested because this is the right way to do it. It will take atleast 3 to 4 months before you actually see a regular patten. Unless of course your period is irregular.

Do you have ovulation chart?

You can calculate your ovulation period. It's begins around the 14th day of the menstrual cycle If you have a 28-day cycle. Use a simple calendar to mark the day your periods begin each month and track the number of days each period lasts. There are many ovulation calendars e.g. I use this one http://www.ladys-calendar.com

Do you start counting your menstrual cycle when you first begin to spot or when you first bleed?

Start when you first see blood of any color. But not all women are on a 28 day cycle.AnswerI would have to disagree from my own personal experience...when I get my fertile mucus, it's usually 14-16 days counting from my heavy bleed not my spotting. It depends, it is usually 28 days but of course everyone is different, you should get it every month and then mark it on a calendar to see a pattern, which will help you know when you have regular periods.
