It pretty well is self-explanatory- Each Night, we pray, our lives, will show, His dream (possibly History) we had, Each Child still knows- this is repeated canonically, three verses. then We are waiting, we have not forgotten, overlapped, overlapped again On this night, On this, night, on this very Christmas night! Neat use of harmony and what one might call trick vocalistics.

Diving a little deeper, the lyrics suggest that on Christmas night, we pray our lives will reveal the desire God has for everyone, a dream even a child understands. Although it is not expressed explicitly in the song, since the celebration is on Christmas night, one can probably deduce, that what God wants us to show and each child to know is the significance of the birth of His Son, Jesus Messiah. The "we are waiting" refrain suggests those who celebrate continue to wait in hope and expectation for the Son's return. We have not forgotten why He came and we are waiting for His return. A solemn reminder on each Christmas night.

Where can one find Christmas lyrics?

Lyrics: Where are you Christmas? Why can't I find you? Why have you gone away? Where is the laughter? You used to bring me? Why can't I hear music play? My world is changing. I'm rearranging. Does that mean Christmas changes too? Ooh... Where are you Christmas? Do you remember? The one you used know? I'm not the same one. See what the time's done? Is that why you have let me go? Oo Oo Oo OOH! Christmas is here, everywhere. Ooh.. Christmas is here, if you care. Ooh.. If there is love in your heart and your mind. It will feel like Christmas all the time. Oh.. I feel you Christmas. I know I found you. You never fade away. Oh! The joy of Christmas. Stays here inside us. Fills each and every heart with love. Where are you Christmas? Fill your heart with love. MmmHmmm. Keep in mind that this is the longer version by Faith Hill. I suggest Listening to the music while reading the lyrics so that you know exactly how it goes. Hope this helps. And sorry if some are wrong, I did my best :)

The word 'carol' originally referred to a ring-dance which meant a song that could be danced to?

Christmas carols are based on Christian lyrics and relate, in the main, to the Nativity. Christmas carols were introduced in to church services by St Francis of Assisi in the 12th century. As for the word carols, "carol" is a derivative of the French word caroller, the interpretation of which means dancing around in a circle. Carol and carols, eventually came to mean not only to dance but included music and lyrics - hence Christmas Caroling. The joyous themes for many traditional Christmas carols were banned in England by the staunch Protestant Oliver Cromwell and many of the very old Christmas carols and songs were subsequently lost for all time. Christmas carols were only fully popularised again during the Victorian era when they again expressed joyful and merry themes in their carol lyrics as opposed to the normal, more sombre, Christian lyrics found in hymns. As religious observances in the United States and England were closely linked the popularity of Christmas carols grew in both countries in the 19th century. Many Christmas traditions are relatively recent such as Santa Claus and reindeer and bear no relation to Christmas carols. We have reflected this in the unusual and beautiful Victorian Angel Pictures we have included for your pleasure and enjoyment. Today Christmas songs and carols are also fast becoming a tradition.Merry Christmas and enjoy singing the wonderful words and lyrics to the Christmas carols & Christmas songs featured on this Christmas carols and songs website.
