This should be a Browning Auto-5 Magnum. It was made in 1967 and should have Magnum engraved on the left side of the receiver.
Press the release tab on the left side of the receiver and pull the bolt rearward

A Savage 745 is essentially the same design as the Browning Auto-5 and looks a lot like it. The big visible difference between the two is that the 745 does not have the magazine cutoff lever on the left side of the receiver like the Auto-5.
IF IT HAS A SERIAL NUMBER YOU SHOULD FIND IT ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RECEIVER, UNDER THE FINGER LEVER, AROUND THE TANG AREA. COULD BE IN ONE OF A FEW DIFFERENT AREAS, BUT ALWAYS ON THE RECEIVER. This is a 16ga American made Browning made in 1946. auto5man
It is located on the left side. Called a Magazine Cutoff, It allows you to keep the magazine tube loaded when you empty the shell in the chamber. Flip the cutoff lever and then open the breach bolt. The chamber will empty, but no other shell will be released to the carrier.
They are either on the right side of the receiver OR barrel.
The left hand side handlebar lever is the clutch.
