- This guy is behind the times because CPR is given to someone who may have had a heart attack or stopped breathing. The old way was to put your lips on the other persons lips and blow air into their lungs and then use the flat side of their palms in between the breast bone (heart is on the left side) and push 5 times; stop and repeat. The new way is to do only the latter. This guy is saying he would like to give you CPR because that would be lip to lip contact (kissing.)
