When a guy asks you if you're dating anyone it usually
means that they want to know if you're available or not if you say yes than the guy will probably just go "okay" and walk away. If you say yes he'll probably ask you out.

A guy who you have known for a long time but have not seen in a while may be asking just because he is making conversation or he wants to brag about his new girl but doesn't want you to fell bad if you are a lone. Also this depends on the age and maturity of the guy....

ie, his feet, if some ones feet are pointed toward you that is a sing they may be interested; If he touches his hair, or neck (for guys it's usually the back of the neck, especially the shy ones); If he is leaning in when you talk or standing rather close to you (well unless he durnk then he'll stand close cus he can' stand strait lol); If he stretches his arm out leaving his chest open toward you (usually more confident guys will do this);If he uses your name a lot… All of these are simple sings of flirting but be careful that you don't reed to much into them open commutation is always best; however, if you like the guy that asked you this don't be afraid to slip him you number. If you don't like the guy be careful not to show any sings that may make him think you are, and a clear "I'm not interested" may seem rude at first but will save the guy a lot of time and pain in the end
