Well, as it is to my understanding (me being gay and all), and i have been through this..when a gay guy hits on a girl, flirts, touches alot etc.. it means that he is feeling her.. maybe more than he would like to show. he will put things off as make up excuses when asked if he likes her such as "shes to young" "shes to old" "im gay". he will almost always try to lay on the girl, lay near her, hold her.. anything of the such. if she flirts back its giving him signs she has feelings of a sort for him as well. a gay guy wont come out and announce his feelings of love for the woman because he is more than likely SCARED as to what the surrounding people around him may think of him. confusion is another big possibility in this situation..a guy may be confused because hes convinced himself hes gay but then has all these feelings of wanting this one girl. if a gay guy has flirted with a woman and then wants to hold her hand in a public place this means that he doesnt want the woman to know but he wants everyone around him to know that "this is the one i want"..understand? its a little difficult to apprehend.
