This is a normal part of menstruation so nothing to worry about.
During menstruation it's not just blood that you loose but the uterine tissue, most of this will just be cells in the blood but larger pieces of the uterine lining can be shed on heavier days - these can be mistaken for blood clots, they will look like pieces of raw liver.
Menstrual blood doesn't really clot like normal blood, if it did it'd be detrimental to the whole process, but you can sometimes see smaller clots. You can also see bloody mucus sometimes too, the opening to your cervix is normally blocked-up with mucus to prevent anything harmful getting through to the uterus (it changes around ovulation to allow sperm through), during menstruation some of this mucus can come out with the blood. Plus you still get discharge too.
Clots during pregnancy is usually a indication of a miscarriage. Brown bleeding is usually old blood which isn't a normal period.
The blood from your period should be dark, not bright, red because it is "old" blood that the uterus sheds. It is also normal to see clots or lumps of blood during your period.
It's unlikely that what you are seeing are blood clots as menstrual blood doesn't clot like normal blood. What you're seeing is likely the larger pieces of the uterine lining, which is the main waste product during menstruation.
IT's prolly just blood clots, not bad. Their just part of you period. It's blood just really dark.
On a heavy period it can seem as though your vagina is spewing out blood and sometimes it can look like clots or jelly like, usually really dark red/ so dark it can look black. There is nothing to worry about since it is just all of the blood. Its the uterus lining being shed.
Those are blood clots dnt worry its normal but if it continues after your period finishes you should check with the doctor and right now its pissing me off...
A blood clot during your period, known as menstrual clotting, occurs when the body releases blood and tissue from the uterine lining. This can happen when menstrual flow is heavier than usual, causing blood to pool and clot before it exits the body. Clots are typically dark red or brown and can vary in size. If clots are large or accompanied by severe pain, it may be advisable to consult a healthcare professional.
no you must go to doctor
Dark brown period blood usually appears near the end of your period.
I had a miscarrage and a d and c. I have been having blot clots. They look like chunks of dark jelly or chunks of liver. I was 8wks
You are probably ovulating (releasing an egg). Many women get discharge mixed with blood during ovulation. It could just be old blood though that is left over from your period and it is coming out with discharge
I've been pregnant twice and both times I got about a 2-4 day period of brown/light colored period with no clots (very light, usually I have 6-7 days with clots and dark blood). Both times I got this right before or right around when I should have gotten my regular period. Then I didnt have anymore bleeding and yes I was pregnant.
