It has been said that, nonsmokers who breath secondhand smoke quite alot can have damage on your lungs.

The only difference is instead of smoking the acctual chemicals, your just breathing the burnt chemicals.

Cigarette smoke contains dirty, poisonous and cancer-causing substances to be released into the air.

DIRT AND SMELL: People near someone who is smoking a cigarette will become smelly, their clothes, skin and hair becoming contaminated by the smell of burning tobacco.

The smell is quite hard to remove from clothes and may persist for several days or even weeks after initial contamination.

AIR QUALITY: Their oxygen levels will be reduced, their air quality being adulterated with polluting fumes and noxious substances.

HEALTH: Their health and lives are seriously threatened, 'passive-smoking' (i.e. cigarette smoke being inhaled by non-smokers) being a real and life-endangering situation. Cigarette smoke contains tars, pathogens and carcinogens ('cancer-causing' substances).

CIGARETTE SMOKE: There are over 4000 chemicals in cigarette smoke, including arsenic, radio-active polonium, carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide.

If a smoker is out in the street or standing next to you smoking a cigarette or a pipe then normally you would cough as you are not used to the fumes. Second hand smoking as it is called is when you inhale somebody's (who is smoking) cigarette fumes and can harm you as much as it can harm them.

smoking can affect the nonsmokers because not only the cigarette has dangerous toxins, the fume that expirates the cigarette contains the same toxins as the cigarette.

You shouldn't be near of nonsmoker either to smoke

Passive smoking, or second-hand smoking, puts nonsmokers at risk for the same health hazards and complications that smokers are at risk for.
