This part holds the barrel to the AK47 receiver and holds the receiver together. It also helps hold the rear sight block. The two lower holes are for rivets through the receiver the hole up top is for the barrel pin

AK47 Rear Trunnion

This part holds the AK47 receiver together as well as holds the stock in place. The rear AK47 trunnion also has a channel for the recoil assembly which locks into that channel and snaps the receiver cover in place. Pictured is a top view of a typical stamped AK47 receiver rear trunion, the two holes to the left are for the stock screws
