I am pretty sure "LEGO Direct" is the customer service that lego.com offers, most notably for replacement parts. I recently ordered parts for my son's 8547 mindstorms kit and was able to order all missing parts at a reasonable price (about $9.50 for 15 pieces, all shipped from Denmark apparently).
