"E" stands for "error" on the Sealy electric blanket control. It might be time to get a new blanket.
It means "energy saver" as in it doesn't use electricity but its own heat to conserve itsself.
Blanket (bedcover) : une couverture (fem.) blanket (general, as in a blanket amnisty): général(e) = une amnistie générale
No. The E is indeed short in nest (as in net and rest), but in blanket you do not sound the ET as "et" -- it has a short I sound (blang-kit).
Blanket has two short vowel sounds. The A has a short A sound and the E has a short I sound (blang-kit).

The flashing E3 on your Beauty Rest electric blanket typically indicates a malfunction or error in the blanket's heating system. This could be due to a problem with the power supply, a short circuit, or an issue with the blanket's internal wiring. To resolve the issue, unplug the blanket, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in. If the error persists, consult the user manual or contact customer support for further assistance.
Apparently, West Point Home or Martex had problems with some of the controls for the electric blankets. Some have temperature boosts and come on with that system on and then click off as they flash the error message. Others flash one number, then the error, etc. Martex has a button on their website where you can email the heated blankets department directly. (Guess they had a lot of complaints to set up a heated blankets link!) I would start there and see where that leads. I have three blankets erroring and they are brand new. Just emailed the heated blankets dept and will wait for a reply. I am hoping that leaving my call back as my husband's law office will expedite things. Electrical and faulty are two words that don't go well together. They spell electrical fire and lawsuit f not attended to. I recently received a replacement blanket.
Most stores have fairly lenient return policies, especially if you have the receipt. In my experience, the E error occurs when the cord is no longer completely connected to the blanket. Make sure that all of the connections are secure. Then, turn your blanket off and back on again. This should fix your problem.
