That all depends on your age. If your 12-14 you should respect their rules until your atleast 16- Then you can start, I would think. At 17 you should be able to date whoever you want (but your parents -especially your dad- will want to meet the guy).
You very well better consider respecting your parents requests as long as you live in their home and especially if you are not even being a contributing factor financially at their request.
