For the Stoeger side-by-side shotgun, your best bet would be to use any of the standard Winchester choke tubes. They should fit well for you shotgun.
They usually use a modified (medium) choke on the 870, unless it has choke tubes.
Full choke for all buck shot.
If it has choke tubes, yes. If it is fixed choke, no. I called Browning about mine and that was the answer they gave me.
The Brazilian CBC Model 586 shotgun typically uses Beretta/Benelli Mobil choke tubes, which are also known as the Maxis chokes. You can use choke tubes compatible with this system in your CBC Model 586 shotgun.
They identify which chokes you have in without having to use a choke tool. different companies have different markings but in general the fewer marks, the more constricted the choke (1 mark=full choke).
You can use a wire instead of the starter to test the tubes .. I did it, it works !
Go to Remington.com and download an owner's manual. most modern choke tubes have some type of marking that will allow you to determine the choke without removing it from the barrel. some use a notch system while others have stars.
The condor flew high overhead.
You use the choke tube which is appropriate to the use of the shotgun. Choke tubes are short sections of tube which screws into the muzzle end of the shotgun barrel. Different tubes hve different amounts of constriction (full, modified, improved, cylinder bore, etc). The tighter the constriction, the more the shot column is kept together and thus the more dense the shot column. This keeps the column together longer as it flies down range and thus will put more pellets into the target. Tighter shot column also means that the pattern doesn't spread out as much and thus it's harder to hit a given target.
I have a SKB semi automatic shotgun and was looking around for extra choke tubes for it as it came only with a full choke. I had some Browning Invector (not plus) tubes and the threading was the same and fit right in. I don't have the website anymore but on cross referencing, it stated that the Weatherby and Winchokes had the same threading and would fit. These are all tubes that are designed to fit inside the barrel and not extend out beyond the end of the barrel ie. Invector + or some of the competition tubes. Anyway, my experience is that the Invector works fits just fine, shoots without a problem, although the gun companies will tell you to not interchange. I cannot argue with that so am not encouraging you to use another brand, just giving you my personal experience and what I have read. if your are shooting buck shot i think either should work fine however if you are shooting slugs choke tubes are not recommended and you shout get a slug barrel which does no accept choke tubes and has no threads
