The "ugliest" things on earth would be a matter of opinion, but these are at the top of my list for what is most ugly in the human race:
- hate
- discrimination
- prejudice
- lack of empathy
- lack of understanding
- violence against women
- violence against children
- violence against any group that is perceived to be "powerless" or who do lack power
- hunger; that so many people awaken hungry, spend the day hungry, and go to bed hungry
- greed
As far as the ugliest objects (things, pictures, images) on earth, for me that would include things like:
- an unflushed toilet
- an unwashed toilet
- dirty, stinky laundry
- smelly underarms
- a pile of maggots (although maggots have a place and purpose in the world)
- landfills / garbage dumps
- litter on roadsides and in neighborhoods
- trash dumped in public parks or wooded lands
- a baby who's black and blue because his or her parents beat the infant
- a woman with blackened eyes and broken ribs caused by the person who supposedly "loves" her
As to the most beautiful....
- two people who truly love each other
- a happy bride
- a newborn baby
- "The Eye of God" nebula image taken by the Hubble Telescope
- realizing that life is, indeed, precious
- realizing that everyone is, truly, connected to each other in some way
