Sociology and psychology both try to look at and examine people's social behavior, however the key differences are that sociology looks at the social behavior of people in GROUPS while psychology analyzes the INDIVIDUAL.
Both are social sciences , deal with people in the way act & interact with others.
I recently completed Sociology 101 and am taking Psychology 101 this month. Psychology is the study of the mind (it's all internal). Sociology studies your environment (with social interactions) and how it changes and controls your thoughts and actions (how you react to external forces).
sociology is one of the social sciences along wth economics, psychology, politics etc. sociology is a subset of the social sciences, just as an apple is a fruit. Your question needs to be framed slightly differently to be capable of being answered eg compare + contrast sociology with another social science.
Sociology is the study of how humans act towards one another. This is related to other sciences that deal with human behavior, such as psychology.
I need three similarities between Literature and Psychology
Psychology is the way your mind thinks in general, about everything. What is the meaning of life, do I look fat in this etc. Sociology is with other people. The way you act around other people, the way you think around certain people.
both anthropology and sociology talk about people
Psychology can be thought of as the study of behavior and mental process. Sociology, is like the psychology of society - the behavior of people within society, how society affects the mental process/actions of the each person.
Sociology and psychology are related field as both are social sciences. A general rule of thumb is that psychology studies individuals' behavior (micro) and sociology is the study of group behavior (macro). There is a little bit of overlap between social psychology and sociology.
