Birth Control implant means intro-uterine contraceptive device is taken here. If a Gynecologist insert it, she will take proper antiseptic precautions and will insert the device properly. Occasional cramps in lower abdomen and few heavy menses is the only side effect. Occasionally it is expelled of it's own. So you can feel the thread by putting your finger in. Periodic check up, say every 3 months by your Gynecologist to be done. She will note so many things and the you have a personal 'touch' with your Gynecologist. In long run it will help you. If you find this method not suitable, you can have it taken out within no time.
