Okay well I've had mine done for about.. 2-3 years now. It's really a fun piercing :D This is also a great list to give your parents if they are giving you a hard time.

PROS:

- Looks good in bathingsuits.

- Doesn't always leave a mark

-You have 10 weeks of healing time, so if you decide not to keep it, it won't leave permanent damage.

-SO easy to cover up, obviously.

-Not something your parents have to stare at if they don't approve.

-You CAN get a job with it.

CONS:

-Depending of the jewelry you put in, it can get infected. I recommend a nickel-free jewelry. Really talk to your piercer and find out a lot of info on the jewelry before actually getting it. Once you find out what they use, go home and research it. If it's a foreign jewelry, your body WILL reject the piercing. **Infections aren't fun, neither is a re-piercing**

-If you don't take care of it, it will get infected, but no worries if it does! Just mix some water and salt rub it on the hole and a little in the hole, let it flush it out. Put the jewlery you got pierced with, back in, and clean daily.

-USUALLY they will pierce with a 16g hollow needle and give you 16g curved bar jewelry piece. Try to keep it that size. Using smaller jewelry or bigger jewelry can result in infections. In rare cases.

Good luck! Hope I helped you ^-^
