CONS

What you type is forever, so you can't take back something you didn't mean or regret saying

Divorce attorneys can use your posts against you

Courts can subpoena your posts

Share too much and people can easily steal your identity

Someone can burglarize you because you said you were at work or on vacation

Employers can fire you for what you post --negative info about you job, pictures of you drunk or worse

Potential employers will look at your posts/photos and judge you on them

Certain sites sell your personal info

pros - you can talk to whoever you want to, make it easy to organize events, help you with work, etc etc etc.

cons - makes identity theft easier, scammers will give viruses, can be overwhelming and addictive, etc etc etc.
