What are the good things about cell phones in school I need a list please?

Some high school students are members of volunteer fire departments. They need to be called in the event of a fire or other emergency.
Some high school students are members of the Civil Air Patrol. They need to be called in the event the threat of an air raid. What is we went to "DEFCON 2?"
In case of an emergency at the school the students could call 911 for help.
The students could use a phone to check the time. This would help them get to class on time. Some people these days don't carry a watch. They just use the phone to check the time.
Some phones have cameras in them. If students wanted to save time rather than coppying something off the black board they could just take a picture of it and later transfer it to their computers.
