Competition usually takes place between two or more people who challenge each other over something they each want to have.
On the other hand, you can also challenge yourself but not compete with yourself - unless you are competing to be better than your were before, which is a very worthwhile challenge. :) RK

∙ 14y agoSocial would most likely be solely for the enjoyment of the game, while competition, possibly in a structured tournement scenario, is more "serious". Not to say that competition would be enjoyed less, but the desire to have a single winner over all of the "losers" is less prevalent.
