Another alternative if you have lost a lot of weight, you may not have enough fat to proceed in your period, you see the egg is nestled in a lot of fat and blood so that if it gets fertilized it can grow into a baby so if you do not have enough fat than you will likely miss your period, usually this occurs with athletes. So you see when you miss your period it does not automatically mean you are pregnant. Talk to your doctor it could something else like stress.
