They use normal phones. They know where the buttons are located on a touchpad, and they use them to call people (they don't play games or make use of the camera). The Voice Dial Phones and talking special features re especially desirable and useful, but they weren't designed for blind people. There are very expensive phones developed for the use of blin people, but I am unfamiliar with the technology involved and their capacities (I have only encounted one in my life). I hope I helped.

The blind use phones, computers, and many other devices. Phones are easy to use without sight. Memorisation of the key placement or Braille touch pads are used.

Also some phones operate with voice commands which makes them even easier to use.

If you are visually impaired, touch the touch screen Andriod and i phone selections may be best for you to explore. The larger screen on the touch Androids allow for a larger text adjustments, while i phones offer "talk to dial" and "talk to text" settings.
