I don't know how old you are or what all you are capable of doing, but I've always tried to change my daughter's room to fit her age. I built a bed on stilts for her once so that she could put a small couch underneath where she liked to read. I painted the walls like a mural, actually we've done that a few times. We decorated it like a stage once with long red curtains and track lighting. We did it like an Arabian tent once with long pieces of colorful cloth draped from the center ceiling (that was cool for a while, but it didn't last long.) We did the woods and had a carpenter hang a swing from the ceiling (because it needs to hang from a beam) The possiblities are endless, really. Start with what you like and what you think you can live with for a while and go from there.
I have some good ideas as i want to be a interior designer when i grow up. Depending on what age you are i have some good ideas my target audience is 9-16 and i will give you a few ideas of mine if you are young year 5-6 9,10,11 year olds you might go with this idea , this witchy theme would be great in spacious big rooms and lofts , if you have a loft paint the beams silver or gold and paint the normal walls dark purple and get your normal bed and put some netting on the base where you put your mattress and put some fairy lights underneath the netting and it will look as if the bed is hovering! And put some old Halloween decorations about the room and the finishing touch some glow in the dark stars on the ceiling and some dim litghting the room will look gloomy and ace! Older kids, make a grown up room with chocolate colour and cream and get a normal sturdy box/ little low down table and put some incense sticks and candles on and some patterned cushions on the floor it will be like a morroco theme and work your way into the theme with lovely smells and chill out areas and there you go a lovely CHEAP new room hope you take some advice. GOOD LUCK. oxox. <3

If your daughter likes horses, and stuffed animals, you should decorate her room with a horse theme, and put stuffed horses up. You can find a good deal on these items at www.ebay.com. You will also find a bigger variety of decorations.
On your first year anniversary some still feel like they are in the honeymoon phase. Some ideas are: getting your portraits taken to celebrate your first year together. You could also collect some pictures from your wedding and your first year and put together a nice little scrapbook/picture album.
