There is a whole host of birthday activities to choose from when you put together your party.
A birthday party should be a reflection of what you like, so it's vitally important to get whoever's planning the party to include your ideas. If you want to have a surprise party organized for you, you should say so way before the event and drop hints as to what you might like at such an event!
The first choice you will have to make is to choose where to hold the party. If you decide to stay at home, you'll save money and you will have more control over what you can do. Having said that, you'll also have to do the clearing up yourself!
The main choice you'll have to make is which activities to do. This will depend on your answer to the question above. I think there are four main categories: music, singing, movement and creativity.
Music provides a whole host of activities from which to make our choices. Having a space to dance. Musical Chairs is always enjoyed by everyone. Having a dance-mat is great if you have a videocamera.
Any games involving
Karaoke are enjoyed by everyone. Lip-synching to songs is always enjoyed. One of our favorite games in this category is Missing Lyrics. Each player chooses a song and each song is played. All of the players sing along to all of the songs. If someone sings an incorrect lyric, they have to stop singing. The winner is the player who sang as many lyrics correctly as possible.
Games in the movement category give you the chance to run about and let the people planning the party to concentrate on organizing stuff. Tag is a great game and there are so heaps of ways to play it.
Creative activities are fun too. Anything to do with makeup is fun, as is cooking (but check it your friends have any
Allergies).
