Choosing the best weapon for self defense is a matter of personal preference. The .45 ACP is generally considered a very good defense weapon. There are very few handguns that shoot a larger projectile, but bullet size is a trade off with capacity (how many rounds a pistol can hold). Typically, a .45 ACP pistol holds 7-8 rounds, compared to a 9mm's 14 rounds or more. If one is expecting to be in a prolonged gun fight, one might prefer having more rounds.
1. The ASP was a custom handgun designed by Paris Theodor, and is a 7 shot 9mm pistol, desined for concealed carry, based on the S&W Model 39. 2. The ASP is a collapsable striking implement, and is not a firearm, thus holding NO rounds. 3. The ASP is a firearm from a military style video game, and holds as many rounds as a game designer decided it would hold. <><> Please pick one of the above.
"Average" is a matter of opinion, and probably impossible to define. In regards to "regular" magazines, some 1911 style .45 pistol magazines hold 7 cartridges, some hold 8. Some 9mm pistol magazines hold 7 or 8, some hold as many as 16, many hold 10. Some .40 caliber pistol magazines hold 8 or 10, some hold 15. Then there are other calibers, and they all hold various numbers. During the notorious assault weapons ban, newly manufactured magazines in the U.S. were limited to 10 rounds, and because of that, some people consider 10 rounds to be average or they consider more than 10 rounds to be "hi capacity," but neither one of those is really correct.
the 357 holds five rounds Some hold 6. Some hold 7.
The new BPS High Capacity is probably the same as the defender which holds 7 rounds
I believe that the marlin model 783 holds 7 rounds.
My 1976 model holds 12 rounds of 22 mag. The 783 has a tubular mag. There were other models (782) with box mags that held 7 rounds of 22 mag.
The 9mm came into popularity because of it's high capacity magazines which hold between 15-20 rounds where a .45 holds between 7-10. the .45 fires a 185-230 grain bullet, the 9mm about half that. The stopping power of the 9mm is minimal compared to the .45. The bullet diameters are .45 inch and .38 inch. The 9mm is less expensive to shoot and recoil is minimal which makes it a good choice for target shooting, the .45 is a little more costly to shoot and has a bit more recoil. It would also depend on what you want it for, to shoot target and such the 9mm will do it for you, for defence I would take the .45 over the 9mm alrhough the 9mm is a fair defence piece. they both have their points, Good luck choosing......
A Titan .25 caliber pistol typically has a magazine capacity of 7 to 9 rounds, depending on the specific model.
the Model 77 with magazine ( clip fed ) holds 7 rounds of long riflel only. The tube feed model I believe held 15 rounds.
In the NFL draft there are seven rounds composed of thirty two picks per round.
The .32 ACP version of the Walther PPK has a magazine capacity of 7-rounds. The .380 ACP version holds 6-rounds. Additionally, another round can be held in the chamber.
