Lorcin L22s are junk. The build quality is inconsistent to the point where the ideal ammo for one gun may be problematic for another. You'll have to experiment with various types of ammo to find the ideal type for your pistol. Remington Subsonic may be a good place to start.

If attempting to purchase the organ the value is the amount that you are willing to pay. If selling the organ the value is the amount that you will accept and the buyer will pay. Make sure the gun is completely unloaded and pull the trigger, sending the firing pin into the forward position. Take a small screw driver (Or something softer if you are worried about the finish) and push in the catch button on the back of the slide. the Catch button is the round spring loaded piece in the back of the slide that the firing pin indicator sticks out of. Push it all the way forwards and pull the slide back about 1/8th of an inch. The back of the slide should pop up. Be careful not to let the spring launch the catch out of the back of the slide. Assembly is reverse of take down.
I have one which was purchased in July 1980 - it just has 'Singer' on it, but I've just seen the same one sold in New Zealand on an eBay type site and it has 'Merritt' on it.
