MAB is the Manufacture d'Armes de Bayonne, later renamed Manufacture d'Armes Automatiques de Bayonne, a French semi-automatic pistol manufacturer from 1921-1982.6.35 is 6.35mm, or more exactly 6.35x16mm Browning SR, is the metric caliber or size of a firearm cartridge. It is the same as .25 ACP, a small caliber center fire cartidge comparable to the rimfire .22 Long Rifle. The .25 ACP was popular in the first half of the 20th century for small pistols since it was easier to make reliable centerfire mechanisms than rimfire mechanisms. Today, with improved manufacturing methods, it has largely been replaced by the .22 LR.brevete is the French word meaning patentedMost MAB pistol models are marked "brevete" on their slide. MAB made a number of 6.35mm pistols, including the models A, B, E, and GZ (the GZ also came in other calibers). MAB pistols made after about 1933 will have their model marked on the slide, usually on the left side. Early models A and B are not marked, although later ones are.
value depends on overall condition.................what does a 1919 colt 25 automatic look like
what is the value of a 1919 colt automatic hand gun
The MAB Model A has been out of production for about 50 years. Check with a gunsmith- magazines for the Eibar type .25 autos (from Spain) MAY fit- the guns were very similar. I know of no regular source of supply for the MAB magazine. ............ Triple K Manufacturing Co. makes an aftermarket magazine for the MAB model A .25 acp pistol.
AFAIK, Ithaca never made a 25.
