You should attempt to wean yourselve to the lowest amount you can take without experiencing withdrawal effects (shakes, nausea ect.) then go to a medical detox to have medical staff monitor you for seizures, delirem tremons (DT's) and heart rate depending on the amount you normally drink and how long you've been drinking. Alcohol is the most dangerous of all substances to withdraw from and you need to be with some one who can give you drugs for blood pressure, anxiety and nausea, and to make sure your heart does not fliberate.

Milk is normally a better choice, but water would be more advisable after drinking alcohol.
It helps me. I started drinking 2-3 glasses of red wine a night, and my movements have never been better. If I stop drinking for a few days, or I have beer or liquor instead, I see an immediate decrease in regularity and quality of movements.

it is better to wash dishes because you would decrease the amount of dishes there is in the environment . And you wouldn't necessary waste water because water gets cleaned also you would reuse the dishes you already have . I did this for a science fair project so please avoid using plastic plates. And try washing your dishes. That way you would decrease the amount of trash in the world.
