First off the age doesn't matter. Would you feel more comfortable confessing your love to someone who was just a year older? Perhaps. But what if they were 5 and a half years older?
To put it another way, what's the magical differential in age that makes it okay to confess? 10 years 10 months and 10 days? Is that cool? What if they were 10 years 10 months and 11 days older than you? Is that not cool? You see, age difference is meaningless. You either love them or you don't.
If you asked 100 people if you should confess your feelings of love towards someone, more than likely you'd get 90-95 who would say you should. I tend to agree with those people. If you love the other person then no age differential should get in the way of you letting the other person know.
