You can assemable same as a Remington 870. Several videos are on Youtube.com that show how to do this.
i believe you would use the same set up as you would for a pump shotgun
The Sportsman 74 is the K-Mart version of the Remington 7400. Internally they are the same. Properly maintained the 7400 is a fine rifle, so the Sportsman 74 should be the same. Both the 7400 and the Sportsman 74 have different internal rail guides that the bolt travels on than the 742 had. Those had been an issue with the 742.
Yes both the 11-48 and the sportsman 11-48 are the same gun. The only difference is the sportsman came standard with a plug to limit capacity to 2+1 to comply with hunting laws.
The sportsman 78 model Remington is the same as a Remington 700 adl, but i have yet to find whether to buy a short or long action stock for mine... so i would just go for a rem 700 adl stock
Made by Remington in 1985 &1986; 28" or 30" vented rib barrel with various chokes; basicly same gun as the 870 Express model; most if not all 870 parts are interchangable. Should probably hold value comparable to the Remington 870 Express model which retails close to $400.00 after taxes.
Dr. King was shot with a Remington Model 760 pump action rifle chambered in caliber .30-06. Ray originally purchased the same model in .243 winchester, but traded it for the more powerful .30-06, telling the salesman that he needed a "more powerful rifle."
Let me know if you find out , I have the same gun with s/n 14291 bob.azbell@yahoo.com
They are both basically the same model only they appear to look different, but inside they are the exact same rifle. They even use the same parts manual.
Yes and no. Remington Rand merged with Sperry Gyroscope, then split into Remington and Sperry Rand. The computer division Univac was transfered in the split from Remington Rand to Sperry Rand.
I just purchased a Sportsman 58 and have been looking for the same answer. Here's a website that may help (I have not verified that it's a good description): www.100megspop3.com/oldvalkyry/m58.html Also, AJ Arms Books (something like that, online) sells take down manuals for $7.95 You probably already have an answer to this question, but I also have a Remington 58 and have an owner's manual coming from Remington Arms for free. Just go to their site and request an outdated firearms manual. And to answer your question about assembly, you have to unscrew the knurled knob at the end of the magazine under the barrel. If you can't move it, use pliers, but be sure to cushion the teeth with some heavy cloth to prevent damaging the knob. Good Luck
Dimensionally similar, but they are not exactly the same. A firearm with a 5.56x45 chamber can accommodate the .223 Remington cartridge, but a firearm with a .223 Remington chamber cannot accommodate the 5.56x45 cartridge.
