The only guns that are ever made on bid contract are military firearms. These are all produced to specification that insure quality. If you have never had to deal with a DCAS inspector, you just will not be able to understand the process. All commercial guns are produced to meet market condition, which is the same as the food you eat or the clothes you wear.

For safety, I would be far more concerned with the car you drive. An error in the ECM can, and has cause people to die. Think of the recent problem with Toyota.
