Fast food, soda pop, energy drinks, candy, chips, all junk food. Lack of home cooking with fresh ingredients. Prepackaged foods that come in boxes. Microwave dinners. Processed crap slapped with a "12 essential vitamins and minerals" label. Also, people in general (not just teenagers) just aren't as active as they were just 30, 50, or 100 years ago. Can you imagine helping to plow the fields all day and chopping wood and going miles to town to pick up a few supplies? Summer break from school (K-12) began because the kids were needed back at the family farm to work. We had vending machines in my high school and I drank mountain dew and ate candy all day. I thought it was fine then but now I'm older and I understand how harmful all of the junk food as well as the 'quick, convenient' meals are to your body. People just don't get it. If it's super-convenient it's Bad For You.
