Download an emulator (visualboy advance), download the ips file for Pokemon brown, download the ROM its based on (i think crystal), download an ips patcher (Google it) and patch the ROM with the ips and run the resulting file in the emulator.
All right so I have my Ips patcher my rom and .ips file. I patch it but when I go to run it on Visual Boy it says error. I use mac by the way. Any advice on what I'm doing wrong?

Conceivably you could change each text box one at a time, but it would be better and simpler to use a rom patcher. That is, assuming that someone has already translated it for you.
