How do you installed car speakers on a 2000 Grand Prix?

You will have to remove the door panel to get the front speakers but the rear are accessible through the trunk. On my daughters car I removed the window crank and popped the panel fasteners off the bottom of the door and was able to replace the speaker without removing the whole panel.

How do you replace rear speakers in a 1999 Chevy Tahoe?

If it is a four door and you are talking about the doors gentley grab a hold of the grille and pull from the rear forward. after you have the grille off get a small screwfriver and pull the center of each of the four black tabs out then pull the whole tab out after all four are out the speaker will come out. It is a 6.5" speaker be carefull though because it is a shallow mount speaker. If you are talking about the rear roof speakers they are 4x10 and you push gentle from the rear forward on the grille cover till the black tabs are free then pull down and back and the covers are off. Then take the four screws out then the speakers come out.

Front speaker removal for a 1998 mustang?

DO NOT try to remove the plastic speaker grill from the door panel, it is not a separate piece, it will break and then be junk! Remove the door handle insert with a flathead screwdriver, it pops right out. Unscrew the door lock unit, pop out the clips from the bottom of the door panel, and the screw in the middle of the panel, then lift the whole door panel off. You will see the speakers bolted to the "skeleton" of the door. Unscrew speakers and replace. How do you remove rear speaker from a Kia Spectra 2006?

Very carefully.. I tried this myself and gave up. You can't just drop the speakers since they are mounted from the top. You can't remove the speaker grills because they are mounted to the rear deck carpet (at least that is how it looked). I didn't want to start removing the whole back end. If there is an easier way please let us know. you do in fact have to take out the whole back end.. its a royal pain, and took me a while to do and more then likely you will have to use shallow mount speakers because of the bars that go to the trunk lid Haha! im in the process of doing it right now actually, and i ran into a problem with my speakers being to big and they hit the bars he was talkin about before but what i did was rip the original speaker off its frame and glued my new speaker into it and they mount quite nicely now! But im trying to get the deck back on....

How do you remove rear speakers on a 1993 ford Taurus?

Hi, Removal of the rear speakers on a 1993 Taurus is very simple and straight-forward. First remove the speaker grilles. The grill comes off much like a slide-out cell phone battery cover would. Each end of the grille has a lip which is tucked underneath the deck lid. Gently push or lift the grill out, being careful not to bend it. (If you do it's okay, they can be easily bent back into shape). With the grill removed you'll be able to see the speakers which are screwed in with 4 screws. Remove the four screws and unclip the speaker harness and the speaker will come right out. Speaker size should be 6X8" and you can pick up an adapter from Crutchfield which allows you to connect your new speakers to the factory wiring without any splicing. The whole job shouldn't take more than 20 minutes.

85 Corvette has speakers in the dashon top how to remove?

FIRST VERIFY THAT THERE ARE REALLY SPEAKERS THERE, MINE JUST HAS GRILL AND NO SPEAKERS, I BELIEVE BOSE SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE SPEAKERS THERE. IF YOU DID WANT TO GET TO THEM, YOU WOULD NEED TO REMOVE ALMOST THE WHOLE DASH TO GET TO THEM. MY GRILLS WERE NOT REMOVABLE FROM THE TOP. I HAVE REMOVED THE WHOLE DASH DOWN TO THAT POINT. DONT DO IT. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND HOW MUCH YOU HAVE TO REMOVE TO GET THERE. That is correct. No dashboard speakers on Bose System. Billy

What are the speaker sizes on a 1994 Toyota Paseo?

I just replaced the rear speakers in a 93 Paseo so I'd think they are the same as the 94. First, the speaker grills are oval, but they're just for looks and are mounted on the rear deck. Don't try to remove the grills by themselves Remove the whole rear deck. Lower the rear seat back and you'll find some blue plastic clips protruding underneath. Compress them with pliers and push up and you'll find that the rear deck comes up easily so you can get to the speakers. The factory speakers had a special mounting bracket with two ears to bolt the speaker in. However I found that a standard 6 1/2 inch round speaker fit just fine with a little creativity. Instead of mounting with the original ears on the bracket, I set the speaker in place from the top and used very large "body" washers with 1/4 inch id and the original mounting bolts to hold them in place. The body washers just grab the outer edge of the speaker frame and press it down. To make sure the speakers sealed and didn't rattle I put a ring of foam tape on the outer edge of the speakers before setting them in place. The speakers I used came from a $100 Sony XPlode stereo from Walmart, but I'd expect that any standard 6 1/2 inch speaker would work. Anyway, they work great. Another alternative is to check a place like Best Buy and see if the installation department as a proper speaker adapter for a few bucks. But, the above was so easy and cheap and worked, I'd just give it a try.
