listen period at least comes after the age of 11 now I am 12 and i am having it but having sex before 18 is really harmful for female health because female are not more stronger like males your body has not become that much mature yet and about having period I don't think it has any relation with having sex but I worn having sex after period is not safe it has pregnency chances if your sex is before the period then it will be ok there is no problem, that's all.

~this is a different person now. okay, you get your period as sort of like a completion of going through puberty, usually ages 10-16, if you're 16 and haven't had your period yet, you should talk to your doctor. Having sex before age 20 is indeed harmful, because, a woman's body (even though it has gone through puberty) is not ready for sexual intercourse, because the defenses in your body, namely your cervix are not entirely complete and could very very very easily get infected, causing major problems. Also in comment to the above about when having sex will affect pregnancy--most women have 28 day cycles, where your hormones go up and down, and certain ones mean certain things. you ovulate exactly 14 days before you get your period. You can get pregnant about 2 days one either side, so about 5 days when you can get pregnant. So it really depends on when you're ovulating not when you get your period, and yes you can be ovulating during your period if you have really short cycles.
