It really depends on your friends size (i.e. height and weight). It also depends on their tolerance to beer. If they drink often then it will effect them less. But even if they are a small person who does not drink often. It shouldn't do any (if any) damage. Obviously alcohol damages your liver but 4 beers is fine.
