The reset is in radio controls. Turn radio off, push and hold dsp button until screen goes to settings. Could take several seconds, be patient. Once at settings, use seek or scan button to scroll through menu. Once on subject you want hit number one preset button then dsp button to reset or change setting. I found out that I was on the T2 screen (time zone 2) which only allows you to change hours......as if you were setting your watch for a different time zone. I pressed the mode button and cycled through the features until I arrived at the time which showed the day of the week. Then I held down the set button and was able to get the clock set.

On my 2005 Element it goes like this. Turn off engine. Press and hold the Select/Reset button on the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch to on. Hold the button for about 10 seconds until the indicator light goes out.
You just put it down. About 30 seconds after you take your finger off the shutter button, it goes off by itself.
