It is probably infected. If you pierced your lip with a safety pin or sewing needle, it is also due to hurt more because it should have been pierced with a hollow needle. Rinse your mouth out with warm salt water after you eat. If the swelling does not go down, and it starts to ooze yellow/greenish liquid, remove the piercing and treat it like any normal cut or scrape. It is better to get rid of it than to get a bad infection.

No you should not treat an infected goldfish with healthy ones. The infected fish should be separated until it is healthy again and the remaining fish should be checked regally. Any medication you give an infected fish can harm any healthy fish.
The chances are low, and that would be pretty extreme, but technically it could happen, at least indirectly. Here are a few scenarios: * You go to an unclean piercer who reuses needles and you end up infected with HIV or some other deadly disease. * The piercing hits a nerve and creates permanent paralysis or worse. * The piercing becomes infected and you don't treat it, leading to worse infection, etc.
You dont know, but you SHOULD treat the dog anyways because you would not want it to get too far tor treat.
