If you're lucky enough to own a Ps3 or an Xbox360 and a microphone device, as part of the security measures on them, there are voice hanging options on them. Or alternatively this can be done on many answerphones.
If you are a conventional and old-school person, use a toilet paper tube with different sized pieces of paper, I don't exatly know why, but it works :P
