You are legally allowed to buy alcohol the day before your birthday! However, most establishments are not aware of this & won't sell to you until your birthday. Also, some liquor stores are so worried about being busted for selling to someone under age that they won't sell to you until the day after your birthday. Just go to a bar & your friendly bartender will even buy you the first one!

If it is your 21st birthday at midnight can you drink in California?

From what I understand, it is legal to drink at midnight on your 21st birthday, but my concern is that if something happens, the establishment has to explain to law-enforcement how and when they got in. It becomes a very litigious issue.

Can you buy alcohol the day before you turn 21 in Virginia?

Sure...if you can find someone stupid enough to sell it to you without verifying your age. And you can be arrested...all that fun stuff. You've waited almost 21 years to legally buy alcohol. What's one more day?

Who was related to prohibition?

The temperance movement, supported largely by women, campaigned for the prohibition of alcohol in the United States. Prohibition was eventually enacted with the 18th Amendment to the Constitution in 1920, making it illegal to produce, transport, or sell alcohol. This period lasted until the 21st Amendment repealed prohibition in 1933.

What occurred as a result of prohibition?

During prohibition, the consumption of alcohol continued underground, giving rise to illegal speakeasies, bootlegging, and organized crime. Eventually, the negative consequences of prohibition led to its repeal in 1933 with the 21st Amendment.

How did they solve these prohibition?

Prohibition was repealed in the United States through the passage of the 21st Amendment in 1933, which ended the nationwide ban on alcohol. The decision to repeal Prohibition was driven by a combination of factors, including the difficulty of enforcing the ban, the rise of organized crime, and the economic benefits of taxing alcohol sales.
