um, actually no it's not. Birth Control obviously prevents unwanted pregnancies but has other benefits as well. The pill for example helps with acne and helps regulate periods and makes them lighter. There really aren't too many negative aspects to it. The only thing might be that some religions are against it. Catholicism for example.
