This is a question that asks for an opinion. My personal opinion? Well, I do not belief nuclear war is something we want. I agree with the downsizing of nuclear arsenals around the world. But something I don't agree with is the United States, of which I am a patriotic citizen, completely destroying their arsenal. This would render us much less of a "threat" to nations around the world, making them bolder and possibly provoking attacks (by terrorists, maybe?). Besides, getting rid of a lot of nuclear stuff is a problem. What do we do with it? How do we make sure no terrorists get a hold of it? I must say that nuclear weapons are a reality that cannot be got rid of until every nation is sure that every other nation does not have any nuclear weapons. That is the dream of pacifists. But then, anyone who wanted to be extra-powerful could probably figure out how to make a nuclear bomb. History would repeat itself. I belief in a nuclear deterrent as a peacemaking tool. Seriously. It sounds stupid, but it's not. Nuclear weapons are real. I am a realist.
