Well it depends on how old your kid/kids are. Im 11 years old and i have a prepaid phone its good for starters but not for older kids like me i want a touchscreen im really smart and i could handle it...so to answer the question a prepaid phone is good for a first phone but if ur kids are older then 10 u need unlimited...all kids love to surf the web talk and text! Virgin mobile is good the phones are expensive tho..
