yes listia is 100% legit i have been trying to get things that i really like for a really long time but hated using ebay or sites where i had to pay a bunch of money but on listia it is absolutely free you start with 500 free credits and can get more credits by doing simple things like connecting with twittew and facebook and completing surveys try it you will be so happy
Listia is legal. I've gotten a ton of stuff off of there. You can tell who are good sellers and buyers by their feedback. If they have a ton of negative feedback then I wouldn't bid on their items. (Even though you could easily get your bid points back by puting in a dispute and even if they don't want to give you back your points. Listia listens to both sides of the story and will choose who gets the bid points.)
