Generally, I wouldn't, since infections could stay in the unhealed interior flesh and taking out the ring would make the outer skin heal first, essentially sealing in a big old angry ball of infected flesh. Happened to my ear piercings once and had cysts there for years afterward.

What happens if you remove your tongue piercing before its healed?

Well nothing then again you could loose the piercing. Don't mess around with your piercing unless you have decided to go without it, then take it out and leave it out. Screwing around with a piercing that isn't healed is inviting infection, tearing and other nasty things to happen to a new piercing just because you were curious.

Is it okay to remove a cartilage piercing before it is fully healed if you replace it soon after?

Yeh you can remove it, i took my tragus piercing out after 2 weeks and but it back in about 2 hours later and it was fine. The longer it's had to heal the longer you can leave it out. :)

Just be sure the jewellery is clean before you remove it and that is it, take the jewellery out right after a shower is the best bet.

Your nipple piercing fell out How long can you go without having to put it back in?

Well the piercing needs to heal, this can take up to a year for a piercing to become seasoned (this is when you can remove the jewellery for a few hours and not have an issue putting it back in). Average heal time can vary from piercing to piercing from 4~6 weeks for some and others a lot longer. Light heals are not considered "healed" and can be damaged by removing the jewellery too soon.

Will taking out an industrial piercing cause infection?

If the piercing is completely healed, no. If the piercing is still fresh/new, possibly. If you remove it, continue to clean & care for it as you would any other wound.

Can you change a nipple ring on your own and how?

Yes, you can. During the initial healing period it is always best if you get your nipple ring changed by the piercer, but after your nipple piercing has healed completely, you can change it on your own, at will. Here's how: 1) Make sure that the new nipple ring which you intend to insert is disinfected properly. Cleaning it with some antibacterial soap often does the trick. In addition to the nipple ring, your hands as well as the nipple piercing should be cleaned thoroughly with antibacterial soap. 2) Now for removing the old nipple ring. You need to start by pressing your skin next to one hole of the nipple piercing. Keeping the skin pressed, you have to slowly remove the ring from the piercing bit by bit till it comes out completely. 3) The new nipple ring should be inserted in much the same way. You have to pinch your nipples to make the piercing visible and then put the ring into one hole. Slowly keep pushing the nipple ring further into the hole till you see it come out from the other hole. Once inserted fully, you simply need to close the ring or tighten any screws on the ring. If you are finding it a little difficult, you should oil your piercing and your new nipple ring with some water based lubricant before changing the nipple ring, as this will facilitate the process. Putting a hot compress on your skin or taking a hot shower just prior to changing your nipple ring also helps a lot as this makes your skin softer, which enables the nipple ring to be changed relatively easier. With practice, it will become very easy to change your nipple ring, and practice you will get aplenty. What with the thousands of varieties of nipple rings available nowadays, you might just end up changing your nipple ring very often. Hence the above advice is sure to come in handy, provided of course that you do have a nipple piercing!

How long will it take for me to remove my nose piercing to clean it?

You should clean your nose piercing with antibacterial (Dial) soap twice a day for the first week that you have it. After that first week, reduce cleaning to once a day. Be sure not to overclean as you can cause moderate to severe irritation to your piercing.
