As long as the tank is protected by typically a concrete pad you can use whatever type of decking you want over it. There is usually no restrictions when it comes to this type of project.

Can interlocking floor tiles be installed over carpet?

Interlocking floor tiles are not preferable used over carpet. The best surface to lay tile or any other flooring product is on a firm and solid surface that out give. Carpet goes down when you step on and makes it so the interlocking tiles will eventually come unlocked by stepping on it. I would not recommend that you install any type of flooring until your carpet is taken out. However if your looking for a good interlocking floor tile I would recommend Swisstrax. They have a great product. And they are great to work with. Sources: www.swisstrax.com www.bigfloors.com www.racedeck.com

How deep can a septic tank be. Is it ok to put gravel on top, or dirt Will it hurt the drain field?

Septic tanks may be installed at any depth in the soil. The main factors that determine the depth of the tank are sewer line depth, and the site conditions. It is ok to put gravel or dirt over your septic tank. If you have six or more inches of dirt you can grow grass as well.Putting gravel or dirt over the septic tank will not harm the drain field.

Using Interlocking Outdoor Decking Tiles?

Interlocking decking tiles are a popular option for outdoor areas. One of the complications with interlocking tiles, however, is that it can be easy break the locking mechanism or misplace spacers. Tiles that are missing some of the locking keys or that have broken receivers should not be used and should be returned to the manufacturer instead. If the tiles are not firmly locked in place then they can potentially start to shift and settle over time into a position that is not easy to repair.

Sedimentary rocks are typically non-interlocking, as they are made up of grains that are laid down and compacted together over time. These grains are usually loosely connected, allowing for easier weathering and erosion compared to interlocking rocks like igneous or metamorphic rocks.

Which way do you install wood decking for an exterior patio?

The direction of the planking that goes over the framing is largely a matter of preference. With the gapping required for expansion, water, and debris, the direction of runoff is only important in the material below the deck. If the decking is tongue and groove, however, it would be best to run it perpendicular to the attached house surface, with a slight slope away from the house.

Can you install a RV toliet in your home and will it work with a septic tank?

An RV toilet is designed to be mounted over a holding tank. They use almost no water which at first might sound appealing, but unless you have a septic tank under your bathroom it would be bad news for home installation. Unless modified, an RV toilet would not be able to get the solid waste to your home septic system. A home toilet uses the force of the water to move the solid waste to your septic tank. Look for a low flush toilet or a composting toilet instead.

How is it advantageous to choose composite decking over wood?

Composite decking is made of a mixture of recycled wood and plastic. It is therefore more robust and is more or less maintenance free. Wood decking will need regular treatments to maintain it's good looks. Although composite decking is slightly more expensive the cost is worthwhile due to it's long-lasting properties.
