yes it is possible to have heavy period or bleeding while pregnant. i am a witness to this myself. i took a pregnancy test on october 30th. i got a positive result. but two weeks prior to this i had a period. i also had a heavy regular period in sept. and in aug. i was told that my exp. due date would be July 25 2010. i went for my prenatal visit yesterday and there was heavy bleeding. so my doc sent me to ultrasound to see what was going on. they did the ultrasound and the baby was fine! but i told the lady that was doing the ultrasound that the baby was a little big for 5 wks. she said oh no this baby is 10 wks and 1 day. so that changed my due date to may 25 2010. so i had been pregnant and had 2 periods even after i conceived.

If your period is heavy and red this should mean that you are not pregnant because heavy bleeding usually means that your egg has been released and dropped meaning it wasn't fertilized.

Not exactly. Some women have bleeding in the first month of two of pregnancy, but it is not technically a period. Also, if you have heavy bleeding during pregnancy, you might actually be having a miscarriage.

Can you be pregnant while seeing your period?

It is uncommon but possible to experience some bleeding while pregnant that may be confused with a period. However, if you are experiencing regular, heavy bleeding that resembles your usual menstrual period, it is less likely that you are pregnant. If you suspect you might be pregnant, it's best to consult with a healthcare provider for confirmation.
