I highly DON'T suggest asking someone out over Facebook. It's a weak and ineffective way to ask someone out.
Think about how people asked each other out before. They didn't use Facebook or cellphones. They had to do it face to face most of the time.

Sounds like you need to get to know each other better and spend more time together before you do that. Maybe instead start talking to her move over Facebook, ask for her number, ask if she wants to meet up etc.
