If your belly piercing has not started to puss by day five, then CONGRATULATIONS! This means you have done something right. I have pierced my own belly button twice. The first time it started to puss, I went to visit the doctor and he told me their was an infection. I then waited a few months later to try again. I am now on day 6 of my navel piercing, and it has not pussed. The best thing for it is leaving salt water on it for 15 mins a day, twice a day. And don't play with it two much, if you feel the urge to tho, make sure your hands are clean! Wash it in the shower too with anti-bacterial soap. This will speed up the healing process.
YES
Not at all - because you went to a reputable piercing salon, your belly ring is just secreting anti-microbial compounds to prevent such an infection from happening. Good call.
Pus indicates an infection. Go see your doctor right away.
This sounds like normal, perfectly healthy pus. It is fine as long as it says white or clear and has no smell.
not sure everyone acts different check this out at your doctor because you should not get pus from your tongue piercing it might mean that your tongue piercing has got infected because i have never got pus from my tongue piercing xoxo
No it's not normal. Pus means infection.
Well, it depends on how much, and if it's really pus, or just lymph. Lymph will accumulate on any piercing, it will look like the crusty stuff you get in your eyes when you wake up. This is totally normal and expected. Pus can be seen in small amounts, especially since navel piercings take the longest to heal out of ANY body piercing. But if you're seeing tons of it and the piercing looks inflamed or infected, then I'd go get it checked out. Be really good about doing sea salt rinses every day while it heals!
Yes it is infected. Get some antibiotic treatment for it.
yes, it will be sore/red/itchy for the first week. if it continues after a week or if you see any pus, call your piercer. it could be infected. It could be a sign of infection Yes, this is very normal. Make sure you are checking it for excessive redness, pus, or any funny smell. Those things could signal an infection. very normal.
If you have pus in your belly button then you may have a bacterial infection. Other signs include clear discharge, bleeding, redness, and swelling.
If its an old piercing its most likely scar tissue, if its a new piercing its most likely getting infected and there is pus in the bump.
If it's infected, it'll have a discharge, yes.
