Completely normal. One of the ways Mirena works is by thinning the lining of your uterine walls, which are what causes your period. It will lighten your period by around 90%. In some women it goes away completely. S
You can get pregnant at any time after the IUD is removed. There is no need to wait.
I got Mirena late November 2009 and am now going to change to Implanon. The reasons are...1.The main reason is when I breath deep or move sometimesI can feel something shifting in/near my uterus.(Doctor said it Might be the mirena but it's ok if it is)2.Allmost non-stop bleeding. Remember though, The IUD makes your period funky for 3-6 months when inserted. Even so, this is not a big reason for the switch.3.During intercourse sometimes not even near allmy partner can feel the strings. And after a while start to hurt.4.Mirena lasts 5 years while Implanon lasts 3 years. I want the shorter timeframe so I don't need to worry about wasting the Birth Control if I decide to try to have another child before it expires.Hope I don't scare you from Mirena, because as far as pregnancy prevention, it's great. I'm just giving you my experience. My personal prefrences and sensitivity play a big part in that.GoodLuck and hope this helped.
Yes, jumping jacks, skydiving, horseback riding, and operating a jackhammer will not affect the IUD. (OK, I have to say this. There's an old joke: "Doctor, will I be able to play the piano after the operation?" "Yes, of course you can!" "That's funny, I never could play before!" So, assuming you could do jumping jacks before the IUD, there's no reason you can't do them after the IUD.)
i got pregnant while using an IUD. the IUD had gone through my uterine wall and into my abdominal cavity. my doctor told me not to worry that it would be ok and they would remove it after i had the baby. i lost my baby when i was 18 months pregnant. it was horrible. i had to have 2 surgeries to get the IUD out. i do not recommend IUD's to anyone.Kindly note IUD devices to keep sperm to reach egg theoretically it is just not possibleto get pregnant with correct size IUD placed inside u by expert. If u got pregnancykindly remove it immediately it will certainly not necessary now. Sooner the better

Yes, it can be perfectly normal. You mention an IUD, if this is a hormonal IUD that you've just had inserted this may be the reason for the longer bleed as it can take your body time to adjust to the hormones in the new IUD. It's also possible that the IUD has shifted so check your strings and feel for the bottom of the IUD through the cervical opening to make sure it's not moved. If concerned or if the bleeding continues go see your doctor or go to a sexual health clinic for more help.
